22-Year-Old Decatur Man Dies In Drowning Accident

drowning350_jpg_475x310_q85-300x238HAMILTON-ALEA’s Marine Patrol report a drowning accident that took place on Friday, September 5th on Lewis Smith Lake.  Here is the statement:

A swimming incident at 4:15 p.m. on Lewis Smith Lake Saturday, September 5 has claimed the life of a Decatur man. Felipe Perez Silvestre, 22, drowned while swimming with family. Silvestre was transported to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred at a swimming area near Duncan Bridge in Winston County. Nothing further is available as Troopers from ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
