FLORENCE, AL-Florence/Lauderdale Tourism will be exhibiting at the Americana Music Festival www.americanamusic.org in Nashville, TN Wednesday, September 12 – Friday September 14. Florence/Lauderdale Tourism’s participation is in partnership with the movement and will promote Muscle Shoals music and communities within the Triangle like Tupelo, Mississippi, Leiper’s Fork, TN, and Clarksdale, MS. . A “Get Your Groove On” three night vacation get away to Florence, Tupelo and Franklin, TN. Executive Director Debbie Wilson believes our area is perfectly positioned musically and geographically to thrive with the Americana movement. Participation at the Americana Music Festival elevates our position in the professional music community.”
The Festival is an annual event produced by the Americana Music Association. The Festival kicks off with a star studded awards show that honors distinguished members of the music community. Six awards will be handed out with an expected audience of over 2,000 music fans and entertainment executives in attendance. This year’s awards show has several Shoals connections. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are up for numerous awards.
