15-Year-old Dies From Injuries Received In ATV Accident

ETOWAH COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic accident involving an ATV has taken the life of  15-year-old in Etowah County:

“A two-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that occurred at approximately 3:24 p.m. Saturday, September 13, has claimed the life of a juvenile.

A 15-year-old was fatally injured when the 2015 Yamaha Kodiak 700 ATV the youth was operating collided head on with a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 16-year-old. The 15-year-old was thrown from the ATV and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Cox Gap Road near Walter Whitt Road, approximately three miles southeast of Sardis City, in Etowah County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
