Blanche Weems, 99, of Town Creek died December 26th. at NHC Health Care Center in Moulton.  Her funeral will be Tuesday, December 31st. at 1:00 here at our funeral home with Bro. Berry Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. here at the funeral home.

She was born to Velma and Oliver Hall in Hatton on June 7, 1914.  She was the wife of James Wiley Weems who died in 1983.

She is survived by one son, Herbert Andrew Weems Sr. of Daytona, Fla., three grandchildren, Herbert (Andy) Weems Jr. of Speak, Cheree Schickedanz of Chicago, Ill. and Timothy Weems of Charlotte, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsie Weems, Henri, Johann and Deva Schickedanz; and one great-grandchild, Tristan Stromatt; two brothers, Billy Hall of Texarkana, Texas and Neal Hall of Hatton.

Blanche had a 55 year career as a wedding photographer.
