Florence Police announce arrest in connection with vehicle thefts

FLORENCE – Florence Police report that an arrest has been made in connection with some vehicle thefts.

Here’s their report:

“Florence Teen Arrested, Charged With Burglary And Theft Of A Motor Vehicle; A 17 year old Florence youth was arrested today and charged with Theft 1st (Motor Vehicle), Two Counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and Two Counts of Theft 3rd. The arrest come after multiple vehicle burglaries were reported last week at Mars Hill Manor Apartments. The juvenile, who’s name is being withheld as per policy, was identified after surveillance video at the complex caught the crimes of tape. The juvenile was booked and released to family a short time after his arrest. This case has been referred to the Lauderdale County Juvenile Probation Office for prosecution. Additional charges are likely as this case remains under investigation.”
