DECATUR– Art lovers from near and far are invited to experience the 10th Annual River Clay Fine Arts Festival, returning to the City Hall Lawn in downtown Decatur on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2025. This family-friendly celebration of creativity brings together artists, collectors, and the community for a weekend of inspiration, shopping, and fun.

Festival hours are Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person, with free entry for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased on-site, and both cash and credit are accepted. The event is also dog-friendly, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.

Guests can look forward to:

  • Over 65 juried artists showcasing fine art in a variety of mediums
  • Art demonstrations throughout the weekend, including work by Athens Forge
  • Food trucks, live music, and vendors offering local flavors and experiences
  • Opportunities to meet artists, purchase unique works, and engage in hands-on art activities

This year’s festival is presented by Plastic Recyclers Southeast, Inc. (PRSEI) and is expected to welcome 400–500 out-of-town visitors, in addition to local attendees.

“We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of River Clay, bringing together artists and art lovers in the heart of Decatur,” said Jennifer Bunnell of the Alabama Center for the Arts, the media contact for the event. “It’s more than a festival—it’s a community tradition that supports and celebrates the arts.”
