Alma Jean Smith, 83, Mount Hope, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Terrace Manor, Russellville.
She is survived by her sons, James Floyd Smith, and Janie, Mount Hope, Dewayne Smith, and Linda, Moulton; daughters, Pam Campbell, and Bobby, Mount Hope, Angie Smith, Mount Hope; grandsons, Chris Smith, and Melanie, McCalla, Brian Campbell, and Shena, Mount Hope; granddaughters, Michelle Daniel, and Brett, Mount Hope, Emily Hurst, and Josh, Florence, Allison Lamon, and Brad, Trinity, Kaci Quails, and Darrell, Mount Hope; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Smith, Mount Hope; sister, Sarah Herring, and Harold, Russellville; a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Campbell, Darrell Quails, Chris Smith, Gabriel Early, Josh Hurst and Brad Lamon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Emmett Smith, father, Clarence Smith, mother, Louise Scruggs, granddaughter, April Campbell, and brother, Morris Smith.
She was a native of Franklin County, homemaker and self-employed.
She was a member of Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery or Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Mount Hope. The funeral will be at noon at the church, with Mike Boone and Debbie Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery.
