UNIVERSITY OF NORTH ALABAMA – The Third Annual Career Carnival is “an effort between UNA’s Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, as well as Career Planning and Development” according to Jennifer Smith, the Career Development Coordinator.

The carnival took place in the Guillot University Center (G.U.C.) on April 9th from 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. Approximately 14 companies attended the event to give students the opportunities to network with long time employees of the attending employers.

When asked what was to be gained from the event, Smith said “We are hoping student will find internships, part time jobs, and full time jobs…to have fun and to learn who we are (Career Planning and Development) and know that we have services that can help them that are free anytime… so it is a kind of effort to brand ourselves but also give the students what they need from employers.”
