Margaret Lorene Williams Thacker, 91, of Athens passed away, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Limestone Health Facility.
Lorene Thacker was born July 6, 1921, in Lauderdale County to Harris Williams and Lonnie May Haggood Williams. She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church, Athens.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church, East Highland Baptist, Nick Davis Rd, Athens. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert White officiating.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Friday morning.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Bollin Thacker; and her siblings, Harris Williams, Frank Williams, Daisy McCafferty, Ila Mae Summers, and Earline Bedwell.
Survivors include son, Randy Thacker and wife Karen of Athens, sisters, Sue Ratti, Detroit, MI and Demple Mitchell Etthredge, Nashville, TN; grandsons, Jeffery Thacker and wife Missy of Athens; Kevin Thacker and wife Susan of Athens, Jason Thacker and wife Diana of Madison; Great-grandchildren, Jeremy Thacker and wife Heather, Memphis, TN, Miranda Perry and husband Matthew, MaryGrace Thacker, Tyler Thacker of Athens, Caleb Collins, Manning, ND and stepgreat-grandson, Bryant McMunn of Madison.
Pallbearers are the grandsons and family friends.
