Drug Arrest in Leighton

no-photoLEIGHTON-On Monday 3/25/2013 morning at approx 11 am Leighton Police made a traffic stop on a small silver Dodge truck at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Main St (County Line Rd) for minor traffic infraction.  Upon making the traffic stop, Officers observed that the driver (Adam Joshua Osborn, 26, of Renee Dr, Tuscumbia) had a small amount of Narcotics in plain view. After Osborn was taken into custody and an interior search of the vehicle was completed discovering Osborn had more narcotics inside the vehicle.  Osborn had in his truck 1 baggie of Marijuana and 1 baggie containing 15 pills which were later determined to be the generic form of Lorcet. Osborn was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana II and received a citation for the minor traffic infraction which are both misdemeanors,  Osborn had an outstanding warrant with Colbert County Sheriffs Office for Non-payment of Child Support. Felony warrants will be attained for the prescription pills which are a controlled substance by the DEA schedule of narcotics.  No photo was provided for Adam Osborn.
