Bobbie Fillers Greer of Fort Myers, Florida passed away at Shell Point Larsen Health Center on June 4, 2023. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 29, 1923, and graduated from Rule High School. She was a gifted pianist and played on the radio in Knoxville in the 1940s. Her swing style inspired singing, clapping, and toe tapping. She worshiped at Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama and The Village Church in Fort Myers, Florida. Most of all, Bobbie loved hymn playing and inspired others spiritually by accompanying church soloists, quartets, children’s choirs, and hymn sings.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Effie Fillers, her brother, Don Fillers, her husband, Charles Greer, Sr., and her son, Charles Greer, Junior. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Greer) Woods and her husband, Randy (Fort Myers, FL).

There will be a graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 10, 2023.

A memorial service will be held this summer at the Village Church at the Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Employee Christmas Fund at Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida: 239-454-2075.
