Olivia Wright King passed away at the Red Bay Hospital on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.  She was born in Guin, AL on 1954 but lived her entire life in Red Bay, graduating from Red Bay High School in 1973.  She attended the University of Alabama and Mississippi State University, but was primarily a loving mother and homemaker.  Olivia was an avid visual artist, loved her classic rock music and loved to dance.  Her talented artistry also spilled over into very fine needlework and other artistic endeavors.

Olivia fought health issues for many years, but still kept her keen sense of humor through it all.  She loved her dog Scout, Bama softball and football and most of all her daughters and granddaughter.  She will be missed for her laughter and her giving spirit.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.  The family requests that donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL assisted the family.

She is survived by her daughters, Carey Harrison (Jason Keltner) and Merry King; her granddaughter, Abby Weeks; her sister, Pamela Penick (Clif) and niece, Lauren Wilder (Jesman Devia).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Robbie Wright and her husbands, Larry Harrison and Gregory King.
