William Paul ParkerWilliam  Paul Parker,86, of Decatur will have a visitation on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Brown- service funeral home chapel with a service to follow. The burial will be at Parker cemetery in Courtland Alabama.

Paul Parker was born on April 20, 1937 in Lawrence County to Brown and Christine Parker. He was a hard working man who took great pride in providing for his family. If you talked to him long enough he would tell you that he always ate a big breakfast and not much after that.

Paul was a good man who believed in honesty and integrity.  He was also an avid Alabama football fan (roll tide!). He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Wanda Yarbrough and son-in-law Michael Hurd.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vernice Parker, his two daughters, Debbie McCulloch and Trenia Hurd, and his two grandchildren, Heather Vinson and Jared Vinson.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or your favorite charity.
