A.K. "Bud" McMahan Profile Photo A.K. “Bud” McMahan, 87, of Bolivar, passed away Tues., March 21, 2023, at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.

He was born May 1, 1935, in Osceola, TX.  He entered Military Service in November of 1956 and retired in May of 1977 after 20 years, 6 months and 5 days.  He worked in Lubbock, TX as a surveyor for 19 years.  He moved to Tennessee in 1996 with his wife, who was born and raised in Bolivar.  He loved everyone and enjoyed many years of riding motorcycles with friends on the hills and curves of Tennessee, and they traveled many miles on motorcycles.  He loved his church family at Dixie Hills Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Ann, of 46 years; his children, Cory McMahan and  Craig McMahan, both of Lubbock, TX; step children, Anthony  Stafford of Saulsbury, Kimberly Jordan of Saulsbury and Christopher Stafford of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Sherry Paulson,  Lauren Wein, Victoria Jordan, Conor McMahan and Aiden McMahan; great grandchildren, Cadence Wein, Trey Wein, Audri Grace Paulson, Isabella Fayth Paulson, Atticus William Paulson and Max Paulson; a brother, Jimmy Ray McMahan and wife, Trina, of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Kennon McMahan, his mother, Ethel Jeans McMahan, his brothers, Horace, W.J., and Gerald and his sisters, Ruby Wilson and Dona Pounds.  Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org/donate).
