Randy Homer Barton, age 68 of Double Springs, passed away March 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 29, 1954 in Haleyville, Alabama. He loved playing golf, woodworking, deep sea fishing; and traveling with his wife, children, and family. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren were so very important to him. He was always so proud of each and every one. He retired as a Staff Sergeant Detachment 1 Company C 877 Engineer Battalion of the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Freemason’s Lodge in Double Springs.
Private services will be held.
Randy is survived by his wife, Judy Vandiver Barton; daughter, Stephanie Brandy Barton; son, Brian Randy Barton and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Kyle Hood, Hailey Moomey, and Sam and Dylan Lee; great grandchildren, Kinsley and Michael Hood; and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Barton; mother, Maxine Thomas Barton; and brother, Edsel L. Barton.
