Dr. Harold Brozia Buie Jr. Ph.D. passed on the night of March 8, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1932 to Harold Brozia Buie Sr. and Stella Carswell Buie. Mr. Buie entered the United State Air Force and served until 1952, honorably discharged as a veteran of the Korean Conflict. After his service, he started working for Western Electric installing Micro Wave communication systems. While working in Ashville, NC he met his wife, Grace Laughter, married, and moved to Marietta, GA to work at Lockheed.
They moved to Huntsville for Mr. Buie to take a job at Chrysler Inc. He provided support for the Army Missile Command. He worked for several Defense Contractors and the Army Missile Command, also owning several engineering consulting services companies throughout his career.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace. Dr. Buie is survived by his son, Lance Harold Buie; daughter-in-law, Ginny Scott Buie; sister, Carole Buie Dabbs; brother, Donald Buie; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Allen officiating.
