Gerald Wayne Hobbs, 74 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Athens Rehab and Senior Center in Athens, Alabama.
Born Saturday, September 3, 1938 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry Hobbs and the late Maggie Bryant Hobbs. He was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing and working puzzles.
Surviving are his wife: Estelle Hobbs of Ardmore, AL, sons, Jeff Hobbs of Elkmont, AL and Chad & Chrystal Hobbs of Ardmore, AL, a special friend: Randall Scott of Elkmont, AL, brother, Joe Hobbs of Ardmore, AL, sisters, Patricia Hargrove of Ardmore, TN, Elaine Claunch of Ardmore, AL, Ruby Brown of Ardmore, TN, Libby Torrence of Athens, AL and Ivene Sweeny of Elkton, TN, and one grandchild: Amanda Norman.
