Mr. Donald Howard “Jack” Manley, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in Jackson. He was born January 7, 1948 in Jackson to the late Howard C. and Ruth Britt Manley. He was retired lineman for JEA, working for 32 years. He was a member of New Bethel Methodist Church and he loved the Lord and his Wednesday night Bible study. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Beverly Powers Manley; his son, Jordan Bates; two daughters, Barbara Manley and Karla Manley; his brother, Larry Joe Manley (Mary Jo); two nephews, Jeffrey Manley (Lindsey) and Ricky Paul Duke; his niece, Kristina Duke, and sister-in-law, Lillie Manley. He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Jerry Manley, sister-in-law, Pamela P. Duke, and niece Kristie Duke. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to St. Jude or charity of choice.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at New Bethel Methodist Church. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at New Bethel Methodist Church on Friday, 5-8 PM and on Saturday, 9 AM – 10:30 AM.
