Florence Police Charge Suspect With Two Counts Of Identity Theft

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a press release concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with 2 counts of Identity Theft as well as other charges relating to the taking monies from the victims acct via ATM machines:

“On or about 02/23/2022, Nicolas Wayne Smith obtained the identifying information of another person and took $1,200 dollars from the Listerhill ATM at 2995 Hough Rd.
On 02/24/2022, Smith used the victims identifying information and took $2,000 from the Listerhill ATM at 301 W College St.
Warrants were obtained on Nicolas Wayne Smith and he was arrested Saturday and charged with 2 counts of Identity Theft, Theft of Property 3rd degree and Theft of Property 2nd degree. He is being held on a $76,000 bond at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. $62,500
