Susan Stanton Todd, age 74, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Susan was the daughter of the late Mary Dell and James L. Stanton, Jr. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 25, 1948, Susan received her early education in Atlanta then attended the University of Georgia.

Susan and her husband, the late David Warren Todd, moved from Seattle, Washington to Huntsville in the early 90s. Both Susan and Dave were employed by the Boeing Company until their retirement.

Susan was very active in countless civic organizations in Huntsville. She served on the Board of Trustees of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, served on the Huntsville Library Foundation, and was active with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild. She volunteered with the Huntsville Museum of Art and the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Susan’s passions in life were her boundless love of cats, her beautiful needlepoint work, and her big enthusiasm for the Georgia Bulldogs every fall season.

Susan is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sharlene Coghill (Bill) of Catoosa, Oklahoma, and Diane Boss (Bill) of Bentonville, Arkansas; and nieces, Erin Campbell and Kelly Curry. She leaves behind many close Huntsville friends as well.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
