Due to the Threat of Winter Weather Some Area Schools Delaying Opening or Closing

TENNESSEE VALLEY-Some area schools are announcing delayed starts and closings on Wednesday, February 1 due to the threat of winter weather.

Athens Bible School – delayed two hours on Wednesday

Athens City Schools – Two-hour delay Wednesday

Athens State University  – Delayed 2 hours

Calhoun Community College – delayed until 10 a.m. on Wednesday

Colbert County Schools  – delayed opening for 3 hours on Wednesday.

Ekklesia Preschool & CDC – Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Florence Campuses (centers will open at 9 a.m.)

Florence City Schools – delayed two hours on Wednesday, February 1.

Franklin County Schools – Two hour  opening delay

Lauderdale County Schools –  opening at 10:30AM on Wednesday. (Bus routes will remain the same, just delayed to match 10:30 a.m. start time.)

Lawrence County Schools – Two-hour delay Wednesday

Lawrence County, TN Schools – closed on Wednesday

Limestone County Schools -Two-hour delay on Wednesday

Lincoln County Schools, TN – closed on Wednesday

Mars Hill Bible School – Classes will begin at 10 a.m. for students in elementary, middle school and high school. Elementary doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and preschool will open at 9:30 a.m on Wednesday.

Morgan County Schools  – delayed two hours on Wednesday

Muscle Shoals City Schools – delayed two hours on Wednesday

Northwest Shoals Community College  – delay opening until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday for both the Phil Campbell and the Shoals campus

Riverhill School – Classes begin at 10:00AM Wednesday

Riverside Christian Academy – Closed

Russellville City Schools – delayed two hours on Wednesday, February 1. Buses will run two hours later and classes will begin two hours later than normal.

Sheffield schools – delayed 2 hours Wednesday. Breakfast will not be served.

Tuscumbia City Schools – delay opening by two hours on Wednesday.
