Mary Ruth James “Ruthie”, age 76, of Tuscumbia, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her residence.
Ruthie was a member of Florence First Assembly of God. She had a day-care at her house. She worked at the Dependable Service Center after our daughter finished school. She worked at Yellow Brick Road. And then she worked at Pet Depot until she retired.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 02, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 03, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Greg Woodall and Bro. Henry Melton officiating the service. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wylie and Luia Cooper, mother, Lorene Rogers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 58 years, Tommy James, daughter, Karen Hill (Michael), grandson, Matthew Hill, brothers, Jerold Rogers (Elaine) and Jimmy Rogers (Mary Kaye).
The pallbearers will be Matthew Hill, Lee Rogers, Kurt Rogers, Jim Rogers, Ben Rogers, Ryan Rogers, Kyle Rogers, and Will Rogers.
The family would like to give special thanks to their Church family, Southern Care Hospice. And special thanks to Ashely, Brittany, Paris, Tammy, Danielle, and Misty for all they have done to help with Mrs. Ruthie.
