Nick Thomas Carr, 93, of Athens, passed away on Friday, January 27th, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Carr was born on May 4th, 1929, to Nick Carr Sr. and Argie Lee Owen Carr.
Mr. Carr is survived by his wife of 73 years, Kathleen Goodin Carr; sons Larry Carr (Vickie) and Jeff Carr (Candy); daughter Brenda Carr; grandchildren Christy Hubbard (John), Adam Carr, and Jeffrey Carr (Brooke); great grandchildren Lilly Hubbard, Drew Hubarrd, Jayden Russell, Cullen Carr, Kadence Carr, and Kaylee Carr; sister Frances Hardaway (Jimmy).
She is preceded in death by his parents; sister Mildred Chittam; brothers Tommy Carr and Billy Joe Carr.
Funeral services for Mr. Carr will be Friday, February 3rd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Ed Greene officiating. The visitation will be Friday from 10:00am-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Carr was the owner and operator of Carr Radiator in Decatur, AL from 1960-2021, the family would like to thank all his loyal customers. He loved his family, drag racing, and especially his fur babies. He will be deeply missed.
The family wants to thank Dr. Reddy and his staff, Decatur Morgan Hospital, all his caregivers, and Hospice of Limestone County.
