Rachel Ann Lamb Rachel Ann Lamb, 78, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born August 30, 1944, in Detroit, Alabama, to James Addison and Maggie Marie Weeks Holcomb. She retired from Mississippi State University where she worked as a secretary in the counseling department. She enjoyed shopping, flowers, traveling the world, and eating ice cream.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Dale Glenn officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Webb Cemetery near Beaverton, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Lamb, of Peppertown; one son, Kelvin Hester (Kyoko) of Mooreville; one daughter, Jonette Hodge (Douglas) of Collierville, TN; one brother, James Roger Holcomb (Josie) of Crews, AL; six grandchildren, Grace Hester, Sara Shepherd, Rebecca Hodge, Sierra Hester, Carrie Hester, and Wade Hester; four great-grandchildren, Walker, Summit, Maryn, and Steve Shepherd; and a special friend, Skyler Curry (Kobi).

She was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Hester; one brother, Bennie Rex Holcomb; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Kobi Curry, Austin Ross, Lawson Nichols, Rob Turner, David Shepherd, and Caleb Holcomb.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
