Harold Powers Harold Powers, 85 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Powers was born on December 4th, 1937, in Toney, to Cecil Powers and Alma Catherine Church Powers.

Mr. Powers is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Powers; daughters Pam Carter (Bob), Brenda Gatlin (O’Neal), and Vicki Bevil (Kent); son Lance Fisk (Meike); and several grand and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Karen Wilson; brother Dennis Powers; and grandson Brenton Gatlin.

Funeral services for Mr. Powers will be Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Fred Pankey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kris Graviet, Caleb Fisk, Neal Gatlin, Noah Fisk, Paul Alvarez, and Pete Kelley. Bobby Turpen will be an honorary pallbearer.

Mr. Powers was of the Baptist faith. He is a graduate of Ardmore High School, a former Limestone County Sheriffs Office Reserve Officer, and retired from Monsanto Chemical. He loved farming, especially gardens and raising tomatoes. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the Smoky Mountains, or just being at home with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all.
