Robert Cecil Herbert Brewer, 78, of Mt.Hope, Alabama passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at his residence in Mt.Hope, AL. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Brother Harold Letson officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Hope, AL.
Born on February 12, 1944 to Robert and Clara Curry Brewer, Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing, and story telling. He enjoyed bowling and going to Wal Mart. He loved animals and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Borden Brewer; children, Mary Ann (Jerry) Cain, Robert Wayne (Alexandria) Brewer, Darrell (Lori) Brewer, Lora (Steve) Blankenship, Cynthia (Vic) Alexander; grandchildren, Wyatt (Sara) Wylie, Cody (Misty) Pierce, Zachary (Amber) Brewer, Dustin (Kayla) Brewer, Stephanie (Joseph) Williamson, Colton (Sabrie) Blankenship, Paige White, Hannah (Jordan) Terry, Haley Alexander and 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Faye) Brewer, Leslie (Huck) Brewer; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cecil is preceded in death by his father, Robert Brewer; mother, Clara Brewer; grandchild, Cory Harris; brother, Dewey Dempsey; sister, Bernice King; sister, Mary Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Jason Brewer, Victor Brewer, Wyatt Wylie, Cody Pierce, Zachary Brewer, Dustin Brewer, Colton Blankenship.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Williamson, Jordan Terry, and David Cannon.
The family extends special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice (Decatur), Paige Pylant, and Megan Terry for the wonderful care that they gave our dad.
