Margret Ann Lane Margret Ann Lane, age 65 of Town Creek, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side.

Margret, or better known as MawMaw loved to quilt, cook, and love on all of her babies.  Her love leaves many precious memories which the family will cherish forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Edward Lane; sons, David Lane, Tommy Lane; grandson, Steven Lane; parents, Eli & Goldie May (Chaney) Wright; and siblings, Eloise Myrick, Ann Marie Wright, Bud Wright, Travis Wright, and Kenneth Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Chris Lane, Tina Burney (Richard), special granddaughter, Christy Atkins; great-grandchildren, Jessica Tharp (Rikki), Samantha Lane (Allen), Austin Lane (Autumn), Christopher Lane (Haley), Emily Lane, Abby Lane; great-great-grandchildren, Beth, MaKenzie, Branlynn, Bailynn, Riverlynn, Kenedi, Scarlett, Bella, T.J.; sister, Audrey Edwards; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 Friday, January 27, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Bro. Bobby Amos will officiate the service.  Burial will be at King Cemetery in Town Creek.  The pallbearers will be Austin Lane, Christopher Lane, Allen Bohannon, Rikki Tharp, J.C. Harvell, and David Hawkins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of her friends in the community and the nurses with Hospice of North Alabama for your love and care of our MawMaw.
