Clyde Richard Harris, 86, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. He was born June 8, 1936, in Red Bay, AL, to Robert White and Virgie Delma Lindley Harris. He retired from Crysler Corporation as a forklift operator. He was a member of Tremont First Baptist Church. Clyde enjoyed driving his truck and working outdoors.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones and Bro. Terry Paul Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Halltown Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Dean Roberts Harris of Tremont; his children, Dedra Peterson (Greg) and Angela Scott, both of Wisconsin; Danny Roberts (Patricia) of Red Bay, AL; Cathy Cody (Mike) of Plantersville, Jackie Roberts (Dorothy) of Haleyville, AL, Vicki Fikes of Fulton, Ricky Roberts (Evangela) of Tremont, and Randy Roberts (Delia) of Ardmore, AL; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virgie Harris; four sisters, Virginia Augusta Turner, Polly Jane Gillespie, Mary Katherine Turley, and Jetta Pauline Humphres; six brothers, Conrad White Harris, Robert Lejeune Harris, John Lee Harris, Fred Maxwell Harris, William Bob Harris, and Charles Edward Harris; and a special nephew, Charlie Turner.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
