Mrs. Linda Woods Murphy, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Murfreesboro. She was born October 2, 1949 in Senath, Missouri to the late Andrew Jackson Woods and Martha Jane Hayes Grissom. She was a retired employee of Cold Chain Technologies. She loved her family dearly and was always making people laugh. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Larry, and Steve Woods and two sisters, Helen Fey and Nell Simpson. Survivors include her two sons, Larry Shelton and Jeffery Murphy (Stephanie); two daughters, Tammy Moore and Regina Neely (Joey); two brothers, Bob Wood and Henry Woods; four sisters, Marine Morgan, Sue Nichols, Joyce Tucker, and Glenda Conklin; seven grandchildren, Justin Moore, Desiree Neely, Briana Murphy, Nicholas Neely, J. D. Neely, Emerie Murphy, and Lexi Neely; and two great grandchildren, Jesse and Victoria Moore.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM until 4 PM.
