Edwin "Fred" DukeEdwin “Fred” Duke, 50, of Corinth, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was a member of The Bridge in Burnsville and absolutely loved attending services. Fred was a hard-working man. He enjoyed his job, didn’t take breaks, and always worked to the best of his ability. He never “half-way” did anything. Fred was a very generous person. He loved to serve by volunteering at the food pantry and helping people out in any way he could. In his spare time, he liked fishing, bonfires, yardwork, and animals. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, even if most of the time was spent teasing his nieces and nephews. Fred is survived by his siblings, Candy Coln, Leslie Wood (Eddy), Beverly Smith, Tammy Sample (Rob), and Steven Lambert; his nephews, Anthony Lambert, Nick Duke, Jack Wood, Matthew Thorne, and Logan Coln; his good friend, Gary Coln; his aunts, Glenda, Patricia, and Kat; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded by his parents, Edwin and Shirley Duke; and his son, Alex Duke. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at The Bridge in Burnsville, officiated by Bro. James Rich. Pallbearers will be Anthony Lambert, Eddy Wood, Jerome Crump, Nick Duke, Denny Hearn, and Dalton Pylate. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Coln and Marcus Lambert. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Michie, TN. Donations may be made in Fred’s honor to The Bridge House c/o The Bridge at Burnsville.
