Sibyl Louise Reed, 98, of Ardmore, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born in Guntersville on July 15, 1914 to the late Thomas and Ida Sherrill Sparks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Reed; daughters, Nellie Ruth Gothard, Doris White, Linda Colan, Patricia Robinson; sons, Robert Gothard, James Neal Gothard; grandson, Jeffrey Gothard and great-grandson, Jason Hamm.
She is survived by daughters, Irene Bunn, Betty Armstrong; sons, Bobby and Peggy Gothard, Jerry “Buddy” Gothard; 24 grand- children and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grand- children and great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be today, March 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Cash Point Baptist Church with Brother Derrick Moose officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Rehobeth Cemetery in Guntersville.
