Miss Mary, Virginia Roan 84 died December 19, 2022. Ridout’s Brown service funeral home handled arrangements for a private graveside service.
Mary Virginia was a descendent of the founding members of Southside Baptist Church, where she was a member from cradle to grave. An exemplary dedicated member, served as church secretary, and played the piano and organ for 50 plus years.
Mary retired from Redstone Army command as an administrative secretary.
Mary Virginia was a member /officer of pilot club, women’s Chamber of Commerce and many other civic activities.
She is survived by special cousin and caretaker, Dr. Mickey Maddox and several cousins.
