Levi Hays
ATHENS-Shoppers in Downtown Athens received a police-issued Christmas challenge on Tuesday, December 20 – do a good deed.
The family of Levi Hays, a local student who died in August, gave APD a bag of socks. Each pair had a candy cane and a Christmas challenge, such as pick up litter, say hello to everyone you meet or make a card for someone.
Officer Joe Kimery and Holly Hollman with the Mayor’s Office randomly approached shoppers to ask if they would accept the challenge. Thank you to everyone for being so kind and eagerly accepting this assignment!
They are going to take photos of their good deeds and use the hashtag #LiveLikeLevi.
