Sandra Zweck Reaves, Age 78, from Guntersville, Alabama passed away December 12, 2022 at Huntsville
Hospital. Sandra was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 8, 1944. Sandra’s parents were Frank E.
Zweck, Jr. and Janette Michaels Zweck. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings,
sister Jacqueline Lowe (Larry) and two brothers, Harold Zweck (Beverly) and Robert Zweck. Sandra is
survived by her husband, Jerry Reaves; 2 sons, Brad Reaves (Gladys) and Brian Reaves; 3 grandchildren,
Brandon Knight (Amber), Chelcie Cryer (Timothy), and Devin Reaves; 1 great granddaughter, Charlie
Cryer; brothers, Ronald Zweck (Donna), Royce Zweck (Marie), Edwin Zweck (Jackie), Larry Zweck (Suzie),
and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Sandra and Jerry were married
November 23, 1962. She dutifully followed Jerry to several work assignments, including Indianapolis,
Indiana, New York, Huntsville, Alabama, and Kwajalein Island. Sandra was mostly a homemaker
extraordinaire, but did much volunteer work at schools, while her kids and grandkids were in school,
including serving as president of the PTA and serving on several committees.
Sandra was a beloved wife and mother. She was a sister, an aunt, a cousin, and a niece. She was a
grandmother and great grandmother, as well as a friend to everyone she met. She had a smile that
would light up a room, and a voice you didn’t mind listening to for hours. She went above and beyond
for her family and friends. She loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart, and it showed in the way she
loved everyone in her life. She was strong, and she made sure to live every day like it was her last. She is
now at peace and reunited with her parents, siblings, many relatives, and friends. She may be gone, but
her spirit remains in us all.
Sandra’s services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Carr Funeral Home located at 1960 Obrig
Ave, Guntersville AL, 35976. Viewing for family will be from 10:30am to 11:00am. Viewing for others will
be from 11:00am until 1:00pm with services beginning at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers consider a gift to
