William Gerald Kinard, 71, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, AL. He was born in Phil Campbell, AL to Charlie and Athel Newell Kinard. He was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 15, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Mark Daniel and Bro. John McCullar officiating. Burial will be in Atwood Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea Kinard; two children, William Kinard and Melissa Mohr; three grandchildren, Jeremy Mohr, Denver Mohr and Harley Kinard; two step-grandchildren, Whitney Carr (Jon) and Kimberly Bridges (Michael); two brothers, Louis Kinard and Charles Kinard (Brenda) and one sister, Barbara Gravitt; five great-grandchildren, Leah Humphries, Justin Sheffield, Waylon Carr, Donald Carr and Kash Carr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ruth Rameriz and Dorothy Kinard and step-daughter, Melissa Humphries.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Mohr, Denver Mohr, Jon Carr, Harley Kinard, Michael Moomaw and Bryan Moomaw.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
