Betty McDonald, 78 of Lester, passed away on Saturday, November 26th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. McDonald was born on March 19th, 1944, in Athens, to Johnny and Mable Harris Hasting.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her granddaughters Audra Davis and Ashton Hubbard; and brothers Wayne Hasting and Tony Hasting.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mable Harris Hasting; husband Johnny McDonald; and daughter Tammie Davis.
Funeral services for Mrs. McDonald will be Tuesday, November 29th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Lynn Rager and Rick Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-1:45pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McDonald enjoyed antiques and Alabama football. She loved her dog dearly. She loved to cook and having company, especially Sunday dinner. She was a godly Christian woman and counted being with her ladies group a wonderful blessing.
