Michael David Gibat, son, brother, and beloved uncle passed away November 18, 2022, at the age of 51. He was born February 8, 1971, in Huntsville, Alabama. Michael put God and Faith first. He loved his family more than life itself. His loving and giving soul was always thinking of others.

Michael attended Grissom High School and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1994, majoring in Geographical Information Services. He worked as a contractor at the Missile Defense Agency for Jacobs as a Senior Endpoint Security Solution Engineer.

Michael is survived by his father, David Gibat; siblings, Patrick (Alanna), Jennifer (Ryan); nieces, Alexia and Bella; nephews, Nathan (Dezi), Gunner; and great-niece, Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Gibat.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 13550 Chaney Thompson Rd. SE Huntsville, AL 35803 followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment following the service will be on the grounds at the Columbarium.
