Graveside service for Mrs. Ruth Key, age 96, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Prospect Cemetery with Dr. Ronnie Gay and Bro. Glenn Hester officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Ruth was born March 9, 1926, in Huntsville, AL to the late Arthur Lee and Neva Clee Reavis Stevenson. She worked for over 50 years with Blue Ridge Manufacturing and retired as a supervisor. Ruth was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, housework, and sewing, Ruth sewed quite a bit over the years, making tablecloths, drapes, bedding, clothing, and many costumes for church plays. After retirement from the workforce, Ruth remained very active, always looking forward to her annual vacations to Gatlinburg. Mrs. Key passed away November 22, 2022, at Donalson Care Center.

Survivors include her nephew, Michael Earl Stevenson of Fayetteville; cousins, Wayne Stevenson of Arlington, VA, Christine Manderson of Fayetteville, JoAnne (Glenn) Hester of Lawrenceburg; and several extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Brady Andrew Key, sister, Wilma Moyers; brothers, Alvie Lee “Bud” Stevenson, Almer Earl Stevenson; cousins, Frances George, Billy Baker, Betty Jo English.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund, 32 Prospect Road East, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
