Lawrence ‘Larry’ William Werner

Lawrence ‘Larry’ William Werner, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the age of 75.

Mr. Werner was born September 6, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elmer and Minnie Werner. A graduate of Norwood High, he went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy at Lieutenant for four years, after which he was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in various locations for over 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sue; son, Nicholas (Sara) of Madison; grandsons who referred to him as ‘Poppy’, Noah and Jackson; brother, Robert (Sue); sister, Linda Werner-Baird (Dennis), all of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Bonnie, of Atlanta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry will be fondly remembered for his love of golf, Alabama football and being an avid fan of all car racing, attending the Indy 500 race for 60 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Rock Steady Boxing, 2200 Drake Ave., Huntsville, AL 35805.
