Funeral services for Jessie McGee Ashby, age 95 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery beside her husband Leonard Ashby. Mrs. Ashby passed away Sunday morning in Donalson Skill Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, TN she resided at Gimlet Creek and was the daughter of the late Walter Frank McGee & Mamie McAfee McGee. She was a long time employee of Serbin, a homemaker and a member of the Stoney Point Church of Christ.
Survivors include son Curtis Ashby and wife Ruth and late wife Marilyn Davidson, sisters, Bernice Good of Fayetteville, TN, Elizabeth Long of Nashville, brothers Dan McGee of Petersburg, TN, Kenneth McGee of Fayetteville, grandchildren Marcia Cannon and husband David, Matt Ashby and wife Christy, great- grandchildren Amy Ann McCormick, Seth Ashby, Sydney Ashby and Curt Cannon. She was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Byers, Helen Pounders, brothers D.L. McGee and Edward McGee.
Visitation will be Monday evening form 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
