Mrs. Mary Nell Rogers, age 83, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Lexington. She was born March 12, 1939 in Lexington to the late Ray and Lela Seaton Richardson. She was a retired cashier at Big Star and a very faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. She knew everybody and was a friend to all, but her passion was her family. She loved gospel music, especially the Gaithers.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Vernon Rogers and one brother, Larry Richardson. Survivors include her two sons, Robin Bowman and Chris Bowman (Delaine); her daughter, Kim Volner; three stepdaughters, Janice Houston, Shelia Scott, and Barbara Middleton (Cecil); her brother, Wayne Richardson; ten grandchildren, Nick Volner (Julie), Joey Volner (Stacye), Kara Davidson (Michael), Meghan Wells (Sean), Marlee Towne (Andrew), Madelyn Bowman, Steven Bowman, Sarah Green (Zach), Jonathan Bowman (Moriah), and David Bowman (Emily); four great grandchildren, Kaden, Anslee, and Mekenzi Volner, and Asher Davidson; sister-in-law, Doris Richardson; and a host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM, Friday, November 18, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, 1-8 PM and on Friday, 9 -11 AM.
