Linda Lavelle Kennedy Laster, age 93 passed away November 6, 2022, in Parsons. She was born January 21, 1929 to the late Pafford J. and Tina Myrtle Grimsley Kennedy. She was married to the late Charles Laster.
Lavelle was a retired supervisor for Decaturville Sportswear. She was a member of the Scotts Hill Methodist church. She was always happy and loved going to music on the “Hill”. She loved to cook for her family and enjoying visiting the Scotts Hill and Sardis Senior Citizens Centers.
Other than her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a sister, Hula Mae Rhodes and stepdaughter Shirley Cabrera; great grandson, Gabriel Dunavant.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Dunavant (Mary Katherine), and Ronny Dunavant (Barbara), daughter; Sheila Fucci, a niece; Penny Pope (Danny). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jonathan Dunavant (Cindy), Ann Elizabeth Ingram (Joe), M. Seth Dunavant, Carlos Cabrera (Karin), Deanna Dunavant, Jason Dunavant (Aunda), Adam Dunavant (Dana), Maria Fucci, Alex Fucci (Andrea), Gregory Fucci (Jill); 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 13th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to time of service.
