James Louis “Jimmy” Waldrop

James Louis “Jimmy” Waldrop, 82, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 03, 2022 at Liberty United Methodist Church. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Lynn Terry officiating.

Born on July 27, 1940 to James and Doris Little Waldrop, Jimmy loved working on cars and racing cars and riding his Harley with his friends. A graduate of Lawrence County High School, he was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife Ann Coffey Waldrop of 62 years; children, Debbie (Tim) Blankenship, David Waldrop; grandchildren, Brooke Waldrop (Chad)Fike, David Louise Waldrop, II, Amanda Fagan (Steven) Pruitt, Summer Blankenship, and Shelly Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Aiden Johnson, Samantha Waldrop, Jayden James Fike, Ty Kerby, Thomas Kerby, Noé Liles; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, James Waldrop; mother, Doris Waldrop; and sister, Joyce Wallace.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Hicks, Darrell Cobb, Billy Little, Rice Towry, Dick Ristau, Wayne Frost, Ed Clark, Scott Hill, Dale Jeffreys.

The family extends special thanks to Enhabit Hospice and especially to his nurse, Ally Baugh and HHA Marilyn Bell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church.
