James Wilford Channell, age 90, passed away Friday, October 07, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Lamar County, Alabama, on January 23, 1932, to James Crave Channell and Mary Cotton Channell. His visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday, October 09, 2022, at Marion County Funeral Home, the service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Richard Dubelak officiating and burial at Carter Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his parents, James and Mary Channell; spouse; three infant siblings; two brothers; two sisters; grat-granddaughter.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Jewel Nelson, Peggy Jones, Karen Mann, Brenda Hughes, Janice Seals, Jimmy Channell; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Channell; sister, Francis Burk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
