Dorothy Pulliam Gray, age 87, of Toone, formerly of Jackson, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the home of her niece in Toone.
Mrs. Gray was born April 26, 1938, to William Jimmy and Della Ida Cupples Pulliam in Hardeman County. She enjoyed playing basketball and was a graduate of the class of 1954 at Central High School in Bolivar. She married Thomas Junior Gray on December 12, 1969. She became a Certified Nurse’s Aide for Procare where she worked for many years. She also had worked at Kilgore in Toone, and Dollar General Store in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Gray lived most of her life in Hardeman County and in Jackson, TN, the last 30 ears. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include two nieces, Pat Vincent and husband Mike, of Toone, and Teresa Ross and husband Randy, of Reagan, TN; a nephew, Jimmy Pulliam and wife Lisa, of Toone, TN; several grand nieces and nephews, and special friends John and Diane Eaton, of Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Gray, brothers Ray, Roy, and Paul Pulliam, and a niece Sandra Frye.
