Mrs. Juaneva Morgan Wood, age 98, passed away on September 30, 2022 in Jackson. She was born September 30, 1924 in Henderson County to the late Albert Lee and Ledie Truett Morgan. She was a retired line operator at Quaker Oats and a previous employee of Salant & Salant. She was the oldest living member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved her family and loved working on the family farm in the fields and attending functions with her husband. She kept the books of the family farm until she lost her vision in her nineties.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Troy Chester Wood; two sisters, Ruth Gabbard and Eddie Fay Tignor; one grandson, Christopher Alan Wood; and three great grandchildren, Chandler, Gavin, and Fiona Wood.
Survivors include her three sons, Jerry Eugene Wood (Annette), Troy David Wood (Vicki), and Roger Eddie Wood (Sandy); five grandchildren, Melissa Slater, Jonathan B. Wood (Kimberly), Patrick Wood (Summer), Brian Wood (Jennifer), and Andrew Wood, (Amy); and two great grandchildren, Mia Slater and Amelia Claire Wood.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 10 AM – 1 PM
