Terry Joe Elledge, 68, Leighton, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Terry was a native of Colbert County and a retired boilermaker. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather, and an avid Alabama fan. Terry was famous for his engaging story telling and his musical talent. He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners and was known for his commitment to Shriner children. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Miller Elledge, Jr.
Terry is survived by his wife, Susan Joly Elledge; daughters, Krista Woods (Chris) and Amber Joly (Bruce); mother, Dorothy Carter; sister, Paula Johnson (Frank); brother-in-law, William Joly; sister-in-law, Jane Gargis (Ricky); grandchildren, Rowan Woods and Collin Brady; nephews, Tyson Johnson, Grant Johnson (Whitney), and Joshua Gargis (Brandy); several great-nieces and great-nephews; and other family members.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
