Drug Bust In Tuscumbia; Suspect Charged With Trafficking Drugs; Woman Found Overdosing At Scene

TUSCUMBIA-On Thursday, September 29 a Tuscumbia man has been arrested and faces several drug charges after the Colbert County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 200 West 10th Street in Tuscumbia.  Aaron Landon Carroll, 31 was arrested as he tried to run from the residence.  He was apprehended and arrested on two felony grand jury indictments for drug-related charges.

As Officers were conducting the search warrant a woman was discovered on the floor of the residence overdosing.  Agents with the Task Force administered Narcan to the victim of the overdose and transported her to hospital.

While searching the residence Officers found one ounce of heroin, 10 Fentanyl pills, 19 grams of crystal methamphetamine as well as marijuana that had been packaged for resale.

Also recovered in the search Agents found 62 Gabapentin pills, MDMA caplets and a 9mm handgun.  $2,300 in cash was also recovered at the scene.

Carroll has been charged with two counts of Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Distribute, 1st Degree Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
