Brittany Upton Cantrell was a bright light in this world. Those who knew her were fortunate to have been able to stand in her warmth. Born August 25, 1989. She was the only child of Cindy Brannum and Eric Upton and was the center of their universe. In her youth, she was a shy but vibrant girl and grew up to be a beautiful woman. After she graduated high school, she met her perfect match Joseph, and in 2015 he made her his wife. Brittany gave her whole heart to Joseph and his son Roman who she loved as her own. Together they bought a house and made it a home. Brittany found great joy in adding her creative touches to their home, making it a place of comfort and refuge for their family. 4 years ago, Brittany and Joseph welcomed their daughter Nola Rose into the world and their family was perfectly complete. To say that Brittany was a good wife and mother is an understatement. Brittany was an exceptional wife and mother loving her entire family with her entire being. She also loved to travel and explore new places.
All who knew her were most appreciative of her perpetual smile. She was genuinely happy with an appreciation for all the many blessings in her life. Spreading joy was her greatest gift and those who knew her are richer having known her. Brittany passed away September 24, 2022, at the age of 33. Although her time on Earth was cut way too short, she left a legacy of love that will endure in all those she touched. We find comfort in knowing Brittany was a child of God. Her faith was strong and everlasting.
Brittany leaves behind her husband Joseph Cantrell, stepson Roman Cantrell, daughter Nola Cantrell, father & stepmother Erik & Arlene Upton, her mother and stepfather Cindy & John Brannum, sisters Raigen and Ryleigh Brannum, stepsister Haleigh Elliott, stepbrothers Josh and Daniel Lindsey and Adam Brannum, and grandparents Doris Upton and Ray Brannum.
She also leaves behind countless family members and friends She is preceded in death by her grandparents Doris Rylee, Joe Daniel, and Jo Upton.
A visitation will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in Arab, Alabama on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will commence immediately after the visitation ends at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Tim Lynch will be officiating. Interment will be in the Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Brittany to her final resting place will be Daniel Click, Zac Daniel,Colton Sievers,Brad Homes, Jim Brosnan, and Joe Perry.
