Terry Lee DuggerTerry Lee Dugger, “Spud”, age 61, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at
his home in Mt. Pleasant, following an extended illness.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 28th, 5-9pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
There will also be a viewing Thursday at 1pm with the graveside services to begin at 2:00pm at
Polk Memorial Gardens in Mt. Pleasant, with Bro. Randy Kersey and Bro. Randy McNeese
officiating.
Born on Feburary 3rd, 1961, to Delcie and Raymond Dugger in Columbia, TN. Terry spent his
life as a resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN, graduated Mt. Pleasant High School and worked with his
father and brother, Perry, in the auto repair business in Columbia but mostly in Mt. Pleasant as
the owner of Dugger’s Auto Repair on main street for 38 years. Terry was a highly-skilled
mechanic and a successful business owner. He had so many friends and business associates
and really enjoyed the life-long relationships he formed as a result. He was a hard worker and
an honest man, a loving father and husband, son and brother. Terry loved spending time with
his son, Terry Wayne and being outdoors and especially loved going to the river.
Terry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Dugger, his son, Terry Wayne Dugger of Mt.
Pleasant, his mother, Delci Dugger of Mt. Pleasant, his sister, Gayla (Steve) Buchanan of Mt.
Pleasant, his brother, Perry (Melissa) Dugger of Mt. Pleasant, his nephew, Jason (Jerrica)
Barnett of Mt. Pleasant who is also following in Terry’s footsteps and is now the owner of
Dugger’s Auto Repair, nephew Cody Sharpe, nieces Jacey Dugger,, Savanna Buchanan,
Chelsey (Michael) Ford, and several great nieces and nephews and a lot of cousins. He was
preceded in death by his father, Raymond Dugger, his father and mother-in-law, Ray and
Margie Duncan and an aunt, Doris Ballinger.
We would also like to thank everyone that visited and called and also all the prayers. A special
thanks to NHC – Columbia, his friends at The Ambulance Service, Maury Regional Hospital –
3rd floor, special nurse and friend Kenzie Bishop and a very special thanks to his aunt and her
family, Nancy & Leon Ballinger, Kay Glass and Dave Cook and his family.
Active Pallbearers are to be Dave Cook, Daxtyn Cook, Jim Nolan, Ron Watkins, Darrin
Kennedy, Jackie Rowland, Sammie Frierson and Cody Sharpe. Honorary Pallbearers include
Gary and Barbara Calvert, Ann Gains, Charles Dugger, Chuck and Cheri Howell, Tommy Boyd,
Debra Martin, Fred Ward, Doug & Linda Carpenter and the Mt. Pleasant High School Class of
1979.
